PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Severe thunderstorms brought hail to the Pittsburgh area and also flooded local streets. Power is also out in parts of Allegheny County.

Allegheny County power reports that 1,205 customers don't have power.

They say the areas hit the hardest were Vandergrift and Monessen. Elizabeth, Manor, Fallowfield, Allegheny and Hempfield Townships were all heavily impacted as well.

Trees and wires are down in Jefferson Hills, and at the time, Coal Valley Road was blocked off.

He also reported that a creek in Lincoln Borough overflowed its banks and flooded sections of Coursin Road.

KDKA's Kym Gable was also out reporting storm damage. Quicksilver Golf Club in McDonald was struck with what was believed to be a microburst.

The thunderstorm brought heavy rains, along with the possibility for some gusty winds.

Torrential rainfall caused localized flooding, which the NWS advised motorists not to drive through.
