Scout Profile Of Potential Steelers' Draft Pick
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – Many mock drafts have the Steelers selecting a cornerback with their first pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, but Kirk Larrabee of 247Sports.com has a scouting profile of a pass rusher the team could be looking at in the first or second round.
According to Larrabee, the Steelers could be interested in Utah Outside Linebacker / Defensive End Nate Orchard.
The 6-foot-3-inch, 250-pound, 2014 Second-Team All-American, Orchard recorded 84 tackles, 18.5 sacks (tied for most in the nation), 21 tackles for a loss and 28 Quarterback knockdowns.
At the NFL Combine, Orchard ran a 4.8 40-yard dash.
Which Orchard is known as a good pass rusher, there are concerns about his ability to stop the run game.
While there's a chance Orchard could go in the first round, most experts would be surprised to see that and expect him to be a better fit for a team in the second round.
