Car Crashes Into Utility Pole In Shaler, Brings Down Wires & Transformer
SHALER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A one-vehicle crash brought down a transformer and wires in Shaler Township this afternoon.
Police say it happened around 2 p.m. on Route 8 between Glenshaw Crossing and Butler Plank Road near the GetGo.
According to Shaler Police, the car slammed into a utility pole causing the wires and transformer to crash to the ground.

There's no word yet on the cause of the crash.
Police say the road is closed indefinitely while they investigate and clear the scene.
The driver was taken to the hospital.
