Babysitter Behind Bars, Charged With Molesting Child In His Care

ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - A Shaler Township man is under arrest, accused of molesting a child he was supposed to be babysitting.
Dylan McKinney, 26, is charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors.
According to Ross Township Police, McKinney was working for an online childcare and babysitting service called SitterCity.com, and was hired by the 5-year-old victim's family through that provider.
Once in custody, police say McKinney admitted to the incident, also indicating he has allegedly been sexually assaulting young children for years.
"He's 26, so he has been babysitting for some time now," said Ross Township Police Det. Brian Kohlhepp. "He's a grown man, so this could go back a while. We have information to believe that he has molested children throughout his life from the time that he was… before he was an adult up through the current day. So, there could be a number of victims out there.
Ross Township Police are working with the Hampton Township Police Department in the investigation.
Investigators tell KDKA's Marty Griffin that McKinney worked in other states as well.
"It's a scary thing to entrust the care of your child to somebody else out there and have your worst fears come true," said Det. Kohlhepp.
They are asking anyone who has contracted him for babysitting services to contact their local police department.
McKinney is in the Allegheny County Jail. He was arraigned and his bond was set at $100,000.
