3 injured after mining accident in Washington County
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) -- Three people were injured after a mining accident in Washington County.
Consol Energy said there was an underground accident involving supply cars and a mantrip carrier at its Enlow Fork Mine in Morris Township early Tuesday morning.
No one was trapped, but Consol Energy said three people were brought out of the mine for treatment and evaluation.
One of the people was flown to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The two others were taken to another hospital with minor injuries and have since been released.
Consol Energy said it's conducting a "full-scale internal review" to figure out exactly what caused the accident.
