Report: Winnipeg Jets Find New Home For Evander Kane

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The Buffalo Sabres and Winnipeg Jets completed a blockbuster trade Wednesday afternoon, which included a player the Penguins were rumored to be interested in acquiring.

Rumors of Evander Kane coming to Pittsburgh died down following the news that he'd miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury, but that didn't stop the Sabres from pulling the trigger.

According to The Globe and Mail, the Jets traded Kane to the Buffalo Sabres as part of a seven-player deal.

According to TSN, the Jets are trading Kane and defenseman Zach Bogosian to the Sabres for forward Tyler Myers, defenseman Drew Stafford, minor leaguers Joel Armia and Brendan Lemieux along with a 2015 first round draft pick.  The Sabres will also reportedly get unsigned goalie Jason Kasford.

Despite playing through his shoulder injury this year, Kane still managed to score 10 goals in 37 games with 12 assists.
