Report: Sidney Crosby Misses Practice Due To Injury

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Sidney Crosby was absent from the Penguins' practice Sunday due to a lower-body injury, according to a report on the Penguins' official website.

As reported by Michelle Crechiolo, new head coach Mike Sullivan says he believes the injury happened during the third period of the game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night, although the injury did not force Crosby to leave during the game.

The Penguins take on the Columbus Blue Jackets at CONSOL Energy Center at 7 p.m. Monday. Sullivan said Crosby's status is day-to-day, so they are not sure yet if his injury will keep him off the ice for Monday's game.
