Report: Santonio Holmes Would Welcome Return To Steelers

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - After making the game winning catch in Super Bowl 43, capping off a season in which he recorded 79 catches for 1,248 yards and 5 touchdowns, former Steeler Santonio Holmes' career took a downturn.

Holmes found himself in trouble off the field and was eventually traded to the New York Jets where he played four seasons, never recording more than 52 catches or more than 746 yards.

Finally, Holmes found himself in Chicago last year playing 9 games for the Bears in which he recorded 8 catches for 67 yards.

Possibly staring down the end of his career, Holmes is looking to get back to where it all started.

As Kirk Larrabee of 247Sports.com writes, Holmes has said he'd like to finish his career as a Steeler.

For his career, Holmes has recorded 6,030 yards and 36 touchdowns over nine NFL seasons.
