Report: Pirates Did Not Win Bidding For Korean Superstar Byung Ho Park
PITTSBURGH (KDKA)- The Pittsburgh Pirates were in the running for yet another superstar from the Korean Baseball Organization. Byung Ho Park's posting fee was listed at $12.85 million and the Minnesota Twins won the bidding, according to CBS Sports.
93,7 the Fan host Colin Dunlap confirmed the news this morning that the Pirates indeed lost the bidding for another big bat.

The 29-year-old superstar posted a .343 batting average and hit 35 doubles, 53 home runs and 146 RBI's. Park played first base for the Nexen Heroes of the KBO. Minnesota has 30 days to agree to a contract with Park.
If that doesn't happen, he'll stay in Korea and the Twins won't have to pay their posting fee.
Park was a teammate of Jung-Ho Kang, second basemen for the Pirates. Together, Park and Kang hit a combined-92 home runs in 2014.
