Report: Kessel To Celebrate Day With Stanley Cup In Toronto
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Phil Kessel is a Stanley Cup champion.
One of the perks that comes with that title is spending an entire day with the Stanley Cup.
Many bring it back to their hometown, where their hockey careers began. Others bring it to exotic locations.
Some, like Kessel, bring it to their home away from home.
According to Sportsnet's Chris Johnston, Kessel will be spending his day with the Stanley Cup in Toronto.
Phil Kessel has officially chosen to host his day with the Stanley Cup in Toronto next month. The city remains his second home.

Penguins fans may raise an eyebrow at that news, considering how Kessel was treated by some media members in Toronto during his tenure.
A parting piece about Kessel by Toronto Sun columnist Steve Simmons is of particular note.
Part of the issue is Toronto's Stanley Cup drought that has lasted since 1967.
As the former face of the franchise, Kessel was criticized for not being able to bring the Stanley Cup to Toronto.
He'll be able to check that off his list next month.
