Rainy Weekend Starts With Flooding In Allegheny County

ALLEGHENY COUNTY (KDKA) -- Right at the start of what should be a rainy weekend, roads began to flood in Allegheny County late Saturday morning.

The Allegheny County Twitter account reported just before 10:30 a.m. that the intersection of SR-51 and Rainbow Run Road in Forward Township was completely flooded. Multiple sections of Bunola River Road were also flooding between Golf Course Lane and Raccoon Run Road. Flooding in a residence was reported, as well.

 

Flooding in the 300-block of Pineview Drive in Elizabeth Township was also reported.

The National Weather Service issued areal flood warnings in Allegheny and Washington counties Saturday morning. The warnings expire at 2:15 p.m.
