Poll: Clinton Tops 50 Percent, Leads Trump By 10 Points

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has now topped the 50 percent mark among likely voters according to a new poll.

The Quinnipiac University National poll was released Thursday.

It shows Clinton now leading Donald Trump 51 – 41 percent among a survey of likely voters.

When third party candidates are factored into the poll Clinton gets 45 percent with Trump at 38 percent, Gary Johnson at 10 percent and Jill Stein at 4 percent.

Among women voters Clinton's lead is 60 – 36 percent.

Men back Trump 48 – 42 percent.

White voters back Trump 52 – 41 percent, while non-white voters back Clinton 77 – 15 percent.

From August 18 - 24, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,498 likely voters nationwide with a margin of error of +/- 2.5 percentage points.

The study used live interviewers calling land lines and cell phones.
