PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Police have located a wanted man who was last seen near the Century III Mall in West Mifflin on Wednesday.

In a post on Facebook on Wednesday, the Jefferson Hills Police Department said a search was underway for Thomas Hanbury, saying he had multiple outstanding warrants.

According to court paperwork, Hanbury led officers on a high-speed chase, ultimately getting away.

Later in the day, officers received a tip that Hanbury was inside a home in Pleasant Hills, potentially armed with a shotgun.

Police say that SWAT officers were called to execute a search warrant and after a brief standoff, Hanbury came out of an attic crawl space and turned himself in.

Hanbury has been taken to the Allegheny County Jail on multiple new charges, including fleeing, evading arrest, driving with a suspended license, and other traffic offenses.
