Police Seek Suspect In Pleasant Hills, West Mifflin Bank Robberies
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police and the FBI are searching for a man who they believe is responsible for two recent bank robberies, one in West Mifflin and the other in Pleasant Hills.
According to the FBI, the suspect held up the First National Bank on Lebanon Church Road in West Mifflin just before noon Tuesday.
Authorities think he's the same man who held up another bank on Friday.
The Dollar Bank on Clairton Boulevard in Pleasant Hills was robbed around 2:45 p.m. back on July 10.
In both incidents, police say the suspect gave the teller a note demanding cash, but no weapon was seen. In the Pleasant Hills robbery, officials say the suspect got away on foot headed north towards an Arby's fast food restaurant.
The suspect is described as an African American male between 5-feet-9 and 5-feet-11 inches tall with a heavy build.
The FBI has released surveillance photos from both incidents.
