Police Release Dash Cam Video After Handcuffed Suspect Takes Cruiser For High-Speed Ride
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Roxanne Rimer is seen in the Jan. 14 dash cam video released by Center Township Police Tuesday, handcuffed behind her back and is heard giving police a different name.
"What's your name?" an officer asks.
"Sam," she replies. "Sam Irving."

At one point, while sitting in the back seat, she became agitated, screaming for her mother.
"Mom! Mommy!" she yelled.
Then police noticed movement in the car, point a flashlight in the back seat and see that she has moved to the front seat through a window inside the cruiser, and see that she has found a way to use fingers and thumbs, even while handcuffed, to pull away, activating lights and siren, pushing her relative's car out of the way. Police say she reached upwards of 80 miles an hour.
When the siren wasn't enough, she honked the horn.
Police were amazed that she maintained her lanes, passed a school bus, for example and that no one was hurt or killed.
After driving from Center Township through Monaca, she pulled off Route 51 and eventually asked a passerby for help.
She is heard asking, "Can you help me drive please?"
The passer by apparently declines.
Eventually she is seen leaving the car, still handcuffed behind her back.
Yesterday, after a preliminary hearing she was ordered to stand trial on 29 separate counts, including aggravated assault and recklessly endangering a number of people. Her trial is scheduled for May.
