Police: Person Dressed As Bear Jumps In Front Of Car

SHALER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a person dressed as a bear reportedly jumped in front of a car in Shaler Township.

Shaler Township police say the incident happened at Vilsack Road and Anderson Road about 1:30 a.m. Friday morning.

A driver says a person dressed a bear jumped out in front of his vehicle.

Police were called, but found no trace of the person.

Shaler Township Police Chief Bryan Kelly says they are investigating.

KDKA's Brenda Waters: "How do you know it wasn't a real bear?"

Chief Kelly: "Police went out and investigated and they found no sign of a bear."

Waters: "No bear tracks, any foot prints?"

Chief Kelly: "I don't know."

Waters: "Will any arrests be made?"

Chief Kelly: "I don't believe so."

No one was injured in the incident.
