Police, EMS respond to 2 incidents in Pittsburgh's South Side
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Pittsburgh Police said first responders transported at least two people to the hospital in two separate shootings on the South Side Saturday night.
One happened at the Coen gas station at Tenth and East Carson Street. Police left the scene a little more than an hour after they arrived at the gas station.
A worker at the gas station told KDKA a victim came to the shop for safety and to call 911 after getting shot down the street.
The other shooting happened at Color Park. Investigators placed about eight markers on the ground, possibly for bullet casings.
A juvenile male was transported to the hospital in critical condition by with wounds to the abdomen and a graze wound to the face, per a statement released by Pittsburgh Public Safety.
Police then located a second male victim in the area of South Ninth and East Carson with wounds to the torso. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition, the statement added.
Two firearms also were recovered.
It remains unclear if both of these incidents are related. There has been no official word on any suspects related to the incidents.
