Police Call Rostraver Man's Disappearance 2 Weeks Ago Suspicious

ROSTRAVER (KDKA) – It's been two weeks since a man from Rostraver went to the store and never came home.

Now police say his disappearance is suspicious.

Tom Guercio, 35, of Rostraver, was last seen by his family two weeks ago.

He hasn't called, hasn't tried to see them and they say that's not like him.

"It doesn't matter if something goes wrong, I'm the first person he would contact," said his sister, Leanne Guercio. "We don't stay away from one another, we're a big family."

"Tommy always comes home," added his sister Lacie Guercio. "He's never not called. We talk every day. It's highly unlike him to not come home."

It doesn't add up for police either.

And today they called his disappearance suspicious.

"We've uncovered some evidence that leads us to believe that the circumstances of him going missing are suspicious," said Rostraver Police Chief Greg Resetar.

Guercio was last seen at Dick's Sporting Goods on Route 30 in Greensburg. He was there with his long-time on-again, off-again girlfriend Jamie Boggs and her brother Billy Ray.

"They're the last known individuals that we know were together at the Route 30 address," said Resetar. "One of the sisters was also present, did not appear to be any problems at that time. The moods were upbeat, everything was fine, did not appear to be any problems then. The following day, that was the last time anyone from the family had any contact with Thomas Guercio."

Police have interviewed Jamie and Billy Ray Boggs, but they cannot comment any further.

They say Guercio was living with Jamie and Billy Ray and Jamie had just been released from prison the week before Guercio disappeared.
