Police Arrest North Side Man During Heroin Bust
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police continue to make drug arrests, determined to get a deadly batch of heroin off the streets.
On Wednesday, police arrested 21-year-old Christopher Howard, of the North Side, after an undercover buy-bust operation.
Sources tell KDKA Howard allegedly bragged about the heroin on social media sites.
The widespread investigation is focused on a fentanyl-laced mixture of heroin stamped "Theraflu."
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner, Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto and District Attorney Stephen Zappala have all issued warnings about the deadly mixture.

The criminal complaint says Howard pushed a shelf into a detective when he tried to get away.
They later searched his apartment and found five additional bricks of heroin and an assault rifle.
He faces eight separate counts, including possession, possession with intent to deliver, resisting arrest, criminal trespass and escape.
