Police Arrest Man Accused Of Robbing Bank In Polamalu Jersey

CORAOPOLIS (KDKA) - Allegheny County Police have arrested a man accused of robbing a Coraopolis bank at gunpoint, all while wearing a Troy Polamalu jersey.

Police said it happened around noon Friday, at the WesBanco bank on Fifth Avenue.

Ethan Martin is accused of pointing a gun at two teller and demanding money.

A witness told police they saw two people running from the bank not long after the robbery, and that the two were seen removing layers of clothing.

This tip led officers to Martin. He had a $5 bill in his possession which had a serial number matching that of the bills taken from the WesBanco bank during the robbery.

Martin ultimately confessed to the robbery, and led officers to the location that he had dumped the backpack used in the crime.

He has been charged with robbery, receiving stolen property, possession of heroin and intent to deliver.
