Pittsburgh Weather: Sunny but with cold temperatures today
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- High pressure will keep skies clear for the remainder of Thursday evening and overnight. The clear skies will lead to a cold start to Friday. Most temperatures will be well into the 20s with wind chills in the teens.
In spite of that cold start, temperatures will warm nicely through the day with the next disturbance advancing into the area. While highs will reach into the 50s Friday, we will have to compromise on sunshine. Clouds will increase through the day, eventually leading to rain showers in the late afternoon and evening.
The rain will be most widespread Friday night and early Saturday. From there, we will start to clear it out for the rest of the weekend and start of next week.
Temperatures will chill briefly on Saturday, thanks to the cold side of that disturbance.
The incoming sunshine that is expected Sunday and Monday will help warm temperatures back up. Even temperatures in the 60s are anticipated.
By the middle and end of next week, we will see some "spring showers" return to the area.
