Patchy fog, drizzle and a few isolated showers will stick around the rest of our Monday, along with mild highs in the mid 50s. Overnight rain moves in and even a few rumbles of thunder are possible.

Tuesday will start off with a steadier early morning rain through the morning commute which will then taper to occasional afternoon showers. Warm air will push our region close to, if not just above, record highs for the day which are in the mid to upper 60s. Pittsburgh's record high for Jan. 3 is 65, set back in 1907.

There will be heavy to moderate rain in the morning so the morning commute could be a little messy with ponding on the roadways and reduced visibility. Wind gusts will be around 30 mph.

Wednesday will also be around 60 degrees but no record-breaking highs. Scattered showers will linger Wednesday at times before cooler air returns Thursday and Friday.

By Thursday, we are starting off mild in the 50s and temperatures fall through the day switching rain to snow but little to no accumulation is expected with the ground still warm.
