Pittsburgh Weather: First full day of spring brings morning sunshine, seasonal highs
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - There are a lot of changes to the extended forecast.
Plenty of sunshine today to welcome the first full day of spring, with highs inching into the mid-50s across much of our region.
We'll see some clouds building through late afternoon and evening, with lows tonight much milder, only in the upper 30s. Wednesday brings a few early morning showers/sprinkles, then cloudy, but mainly dry during the day with more 50s. By the way, our normal high for this time of year is now 51, so we'll be warmer than normal all week.
A wet period sets in starting Wednesday night into Thursday/Friday/Saturday with showers and even a thunderstorm chance Thursday, as highs warm into the 60s for one day. We'll be rainy and cool back into the 50s Friday and Saturday.
The pattern is looking very wet Friday/Saturday but we'll dry out for Sunday. We'll be watching for any potential flooding worries or risks as we get closer, but right now there are no watches in effect. Enjoy the sun today and our milder weather this week!
