Pittsburgh Weather: Skies clearing as sun, pleasant temperatures arrive

KDKA-TV Noon Forecast (5/9)

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Skies will clear this Tuesday afternoon, and temperatures will climb into the upper 60s (just a touch cooler than normal), but we'll make up for that starting tomorrow.

Alert: None.

Aware: Dry until Friday night.

Clear skies will bring a cooler night, and lows will dip into the 40s and even upper 30s north and into the Laurel Highlands. May is still running 7.4 degrees below the monthly average, but we'll continue to cut into that deficit with mild air for the rest of this week. Sunshine abounds Wednesday and Thursday, with temps in the 70s by Wednesday and warming to the upper 70s and near 80 in areas south by Thursday.

Friday should be mainly dry, but rain chances return as early as late Friday afternoon/evening with another disturbance; that pattern will likely keep showers around Saturday and Mother's Day despite mild temperatures.
