Suspect in custody following SWAT situation in Carrick
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A 51-year-old man is in custody after a SWAT was called to Carrick on Saturday.
Police were on the scene since just after 7:30 a.m., and they were called because the man entered a home on Stewart Avenue. He lives across the street and the house he broke into was his parents' home.

It is suspected that he may have been under the influence, but the parents clearly felt unsafe and called 911 as they got out of the house.
After about 90 minutes of SWAT being on the scene, several officers moved in and used gas to get him out of the basement, where he barricaded himself.
He was then taken into custody and is now on his way to the hospital for evaluation.
No officers were injured during the incident.
