Pittsburgh Police Warn Against Leaving Car Running During Winter Due To Increase In Stolen Cars

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Pittsburgh Police have a warning for residents: do not leave your car running if you're not in it.

According to police, many of the 50 cars that have been reported stolen in the last month had been left running without the owner in the car.

Nine cars were stolen outside of restaurants or gas stations and on one street alone, four delivery drivers had their cars stolen.

Seven other cars were stolen when their owners left them running to warm up.
