One person killed in overnight crash on Brownsville Road

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police are investigating a deadly violent crash in the city's Carrick neighborhood.

Just after 1 a.m., first responders rushed to the 2400 block of Brownsville Road near the Dollar General and the intersection with Becks Run Road when a vehicle slammed into a police.

The driver of the vehicle was ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in the vehicle. 

Duquesne Light was called to repair damage to a downed pole and wires.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
