PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Pittsburgh is one of the worst cities in America when it comes to traffic, according to a new study.
Drivers in the Steel City lost, on average, 127 hours due to traffic congestion, according to the Inrix study.
That study says that Pittsburgh drivers lost up to $1,776 per year due to congestion.
Pittsburgh ranked 11th in the survey last year, but jumped up to number seven this year, a five-percent increase.
Boston was ranked as having the worst traffic, followed by Washington, D.C., and Chicago.
New York City and Los Angeles round out the top five.
When it comes to the worst congested roads in the U.S., Pittsburgh actually ranked number five.
The study lists I-376 from I-79 to the Pennsylvania Turnpike as one of the worst in the nation.
Drivers there spent an average of 18 minutes delayed a day, or 72 hours a year delayed when traveling that stretch of roadway.
