Person found shot to death inside car in Homewood North

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A person was found shot to death inside a car in Pittsburgh's Homewood North neighborhood Monday afternoon.

Police said they found an unconscious person inside a vehicle after they got a ShotSpotter alert about 11 rounds fired on Hermitage Street shortly before 2 p.m.

Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. He was later identified by the medical examiner's office as 29-year-old Noah Wilkerson.

The Mobile Crime Unit and detectives processed the scene. 

There was no word on suspects.
