Pitt Head Football Coach Pat Narduzzi Says Team Is Starting To Ramp It Up For Season
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - The start of the Pitt football season is right around the corner.
Jeff Hathhorn and Tab Douglas hosted The Cook and Poni Show LIVE from Pitt camp on Thursday and spent some time with head coach Pat Narduzzi who is just weeks away from making his debut.
"It's been everything and then some," Narduzzi said. "It's been exactly what I thought and I'm having a great time."
So how are the players responding to Narduzzi in his first camp?
"It's a grind of doubles right now," Narduzzi added. "But I think the guys are having fun out there."
Narduzzi told the guys his team is really working hard and developing an attitude each day at practice. He and his staff have also preached the family atmosphere. He says there has been a point to have the guys room with guys they may have never expected to room with to try and form the team bond.
Is it all working?
I think they are having fun out there and enjoying what they are doing," Narduzzi said. "I guess we will find out on Sept. 5."
That is when the Panthers will host Youngstown State at Heinz Field for the season opener.
