University Of Pittsburgh Upgrades Fleet Vehicles

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The University of Pittsburgh says it is getting "greener" by upgrading its fleet vehicles.

On Thursday, the university said it will be leasing nearly 300 electric and hybrid pickup trucks and vans for a variety of uses.

They say this will save more than $750,000 over the next five years.

It will also serve the university's goal of being carbon-neutral by 2037.
