Pitt Basketball Player Considering Team Demonstration

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - It has been a topic that divides many on the national stage since the first time San Francisco 49er's quarterback Colin Kaepernick took a knee during the National Anthem, and now we're seeing it take place in our own backyard.

At the ACC Basketball media day, Pitt senior Sheldon Jeter told reporters he's considering some form of gesture following what Kaepernick has done.

Jeter said he will seek approval from head coach Kevin Stallings but that he has spoken with teammates to have the entire team participate since he believes it can be perceived incorrectly if just one player partakes.

This would be the first instance of a protest or gesture we've seen on this level here in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Pitt basketball beat writer Craig Meyer has Stallings reaction to Jeter's statement.
