Pitt, ACC Well Represented At NCAA Wrestling Championships
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The ACC received seven at-large bids non top of its 34 automatic bids, sending 41 wrestlers from the conference to the 84th NCAA Wrestling Championships to be held March 20th to the 22nd.
ACC Champion Virginia Tech led the way with nine qualifiers, while Pitt was tied for second with Virginia as each school sends eight.
The following is a list of the wrestlers and their weight classes that Pitt will be sending to the NCAA's:
- 125 - Anthony Zanette
- 133 - Shelton Mack (at-large)
- 141 - Edgar Bright
- 149 - Mikey Racciato
- 174 - Tyler Wilps (ACC Champion)
- 184 - Max Thomusseit
- 197 - Nick Bonaccorsi (at-large)
- Heavyweight - P.J. Tasser
