Pirates Pitcher Charlie Morton Talks Spring Training
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) - The Pittsburgh Pirates along with all the other MLB teams are in full swing of spring training.
Pirates pitcher Charlie Morton joined Colin Dunlap on 93-7 The Fan Friday night to discuss the happenings for the team and himself down in Bradenton, Fla.
Colin asked Morton if people should base their opinions of a player on their performance during spring training.
"It's really tough to judge anyone during spring training cause guys are working on different things and sometimes they just haven't put it together," said Morton.
Morton, who is having a good start to spring training after pitching two no hit innings against the New York Yankees in the Pirates' second spring training game this past Thursday, is healthy this year unlike years in the past.
"I appreciate being healthy," Morton said. "I appreciate where I am with my career and where I am with the organization' it's a really good feeling."
