Pirates' Catcher Chris Stewart Analyzes Team's Pitching Staff
BRADENTON (93-7 The Fan) – Pirates catcher Chris Stewart sat down with The Fan Morning Show at spring training in Bradenton this week to chat with the guys about the team's preparations for the 2015 season.
Stewart talked about this year's pitching staff and if he sees one guy who stands out as the "ace."
"We have guys that have done it before," Stewart said. "They've been around, they've had success, they know what they're doing out there on the mound and at the end of the day, they know how to win ball games and that's all you can ask for."
Being part of the duo that has to fill the shoes of former catcher Russell Martin, Stewart said they had to move on quickly.
"I think as soon as he signed with another team, we turned the page," Stewart remembered. "We knew that he was no longer here and he could no longer help this organization so you have nothing better you can do as an organization, as an individual player and as a teammate of his."
