Pens Analyst Jay Caufield: The Pens Have Soured On Beau Bennett
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)-Root Sports Penguins analyst Jay Caufield joined "The Cook and Poni Show" on Thursday to talk about the Pens and Beau Bennett being a healthy scratch again.
Caufield admits that there is a concern level right now from the organization with Bennett.
"You better be able to do it or they will find someone else," Caufield said. "He has sat down two of the last three games. That is not a good sign."
Caufield said we all know the struggles that Bennett has gone through with injuries, but at some point when you get a chance, you have to do what they are asking you to do.

"As we have seen, Penguins General Manager Jim Rutherford has no time for anyone not performing," Caufield said. "But, you don't want to move anyone you are setting down. The value goes down. If he gets back into the lineup in Calgary, he better show something."
Caufield also said he doesn't believe there is anything physically wrong with Sidney Crosby, but rather he is in a serious slump. However, he expects that he will figure a way out of it.
"One of these days, the flood gates will open for him," Caufield said.
