PSU President Among High-Paid Leaders Of Public Colleges

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Penn State's president is among the highest-paid leaders of public colleges in the country.

The Chronicle of Higher Education found more than 150 presidents averaged $500,000 in earnings last year.

Penn State's Eric Barron earned a little over $1 million.

Colleges have faced pressure to cut spending as costs for students continue to rise.
