Penguins' Matt Murray Out With Broken Hand

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Matt Murray will miss several weeks due to a broken hand.

The Penguins announced in a release Saturday that Murray will be out for three to six weeks.

According to the Penguins, Murray suffered the injury on Monday while playing for Team North America at the World Cup of Hockey.

The regular season starts in two and a half weeks on Oct. 13 with a home game against the Washington Capitals.

The Penguins take on the Detroit Red Wings for their first preseason game on Sept. 27.
