PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Matt Murray is taking some time away from the team following the death of his father.
Matt's father, James Murray, passed away yesterday in Ontario, Canada.

Matt is returning home from the west coast and will miss an indefinite period of time to be with his family.
The Penguins say Murray is returning home from the team's west coast road trip to be with his family.
There's no word on when he'll return.
Last week the team announced that Murray was taking some time away from the team for a family matter.
