Penguins: Malkin To Miss Next 3 Games

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Evgeni Malkin has missed the past three games and will miss at least a couple more.

According to the Penguins, Malkin will miss the next three games as he continues to recover from a lower-body injury.

However, head coach Mike Sullivan said Malkin is rehabbing and will continue to work with the training staff.

In 49 games, Malkin is second on the team with 49 points (23 goals, 26 assists).

The Penguins will be back in action Wednesday night when they host the New York Rangers. Currently, they sit just four points behind the Rangers for second place in the Metropolitan Division.

The Penguins will go on the road to take on the Carolina Hurricanes and Florida Panthers on Friday and Monday.
