Penguins Announce Pascal Dupuis Will Not Return In Playoffs

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Out since November due to blood clots, the Pittsburgh Penguins have announced forward Pascal Dupuis will miss the remainder of the season and the playoffs.

The announcement was made by both General Manager Jim Rutherford and head coach Mike Johnston.

Dupuis previously received treatment for blood clots in January of 2014 when he was recovering from a torn ACL.

Dupuis played in just 16 games this season, scoring six goals and registering five assists.

According to Johnston, Dupuis will continue to remain around the team in the current player/coach role he has embraced since being sidelines.
