Payne Hill Road in Jefferson Hills set to be closed for more than six weeks
JEFFERSON HILLS, Pa. (KDKA) -- Payne Hill Road in Jefferson Hills is set to be closed for more than six weeks starting on Tuesday.
Jefferson Hills Borough announced the upcoming closure, saying that the road will be closed for 45 days as part of the Mon-Fayette Expressway Project.
Starting Tuesday, Payne Hill Road will be closed at the intersection with Jefferson Boulevard, which is also the road that connects with Route 51.
Drivers trying to use Payne Hill Road to access Route 51 from Clairton Road will need to use alternate routes, such as Wray Large Road, Coal Valley Road, or by traveling through Clairton and using Worthington Avenue or Ridge Road.
The traffic impact to the Jefferson Hills community comes following two weekend closures of Route 51 for beam installation on the expressway.
Payne Hill Road is expected to reopen on October 31.
