60-Year-Old Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash In East Franklin Township

EAST FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - 60-year-old Kenneth Shaffer of Butler was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a truck on Route 422 in East Franklin Township.
Shaffer was traveling east on Route 422 when a truck traveling west made a left turn onto Glade Run Road and the vehicles collided.
The Armstrong County Coroner pronounced dead at the scene and believes that speed was a factor.
According to the coroner, Shaffer was wearing a helmet, and the cause of death was multiple blunt force traumas.
Pennsylvania State Police and the coroner's office are investigating the crash.
