Parkway East 'Bathtub' Closes Due To Flooding

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Parkway East "bathtub" closed Friday night due to flooding.
PennDOT said that section of westbound I-376 closed to traffic just before 8:30 p.m. It was initially scheduled to close at 11 p.m., but water levels rose faster than anticipated.
All traffic approaching the "bathtub" between Grant Street and the Fort Pitt Bridge will be detoured.
The following detour will be posted:
• From westbound I-376, traffic will take the Grant Street (Exit 71A) off-ramp
• Turn left onto Fort Pitt Boulevard
• Bear left onto the westbound I-376 ramp toward Fort Pitt Bridge/Airport
• End detour

PennDOT also closed the southbound I-279 ramp to eastbound I-376 due to flooding.
The ramp taking traffic from the Fort Duquesne Bridge on southbound I-279 to eastbound I-376, commonly referred to as the Interstate Connector, has been closed to traffic.
The following detour will be posted:
• Traffic on southbound I-279 will continue to the Fort Pitt Bridge to westbound I-376 (Parkway West)
• Motorists will continue through the Fort Pitt Tunnel
• Take Exit 69A toward South 19 Banksville Road
• Keep left and loop back to eastbound I-376
• Continue through the Fort Pitt Tunnel
• Stay in the right-hand lane and follow signs to eastbound I-376
• End detour
The 10th Street Bypass was shut down Friday morning due to flooding.
