One Person Killed In Rush-Hour Accident On Route 28

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- At least one person was killed in a rush-hour crash Wednesday on Route 28 South inbound that backed up traffic near Delafield Road of Fox Chapel for several hours.
State Police say a truck and three cars collided on the inbound lanes of Route 28 near Delafield Road in Fox Chapel. The tuck was a tractor-trailer.
The inbound lanes of 28 South remained closed Wednesday evening near Fox Chapel Road and the Highland Park Bridge.
There were several minor injuries reported in addition to the fatality.
Pennsylvania State Police out of Kittanning are handling the scene and the investigation.
