One dead, one taken to the hospital following violent crash on Rt. 837 in West Homestead
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A 52-year-old woman is dead following a violent overnight crash in West Homestead.
The crash happened along Route 837 in West Homestead just before 1 a.m.
At least one person has died and dispatchers tell KDKA-TV another person was taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time. The Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as 52-year-old Lisa Taylor.
The Allegheny County Police Department's Collision Reconstruction Unit arrived at the scene around 3 a.m.
The roadway was closed for several hours while police were investigating and crews were cleaning up. It reopened to traffic just after 6:30 a.m.
