NWS Issues Winter Weather Advisory As Snow Closes In
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Some parts of the area woke up to snow Monday morning and it appears more is on the way.
According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for much of the viewing area.
The advisory is in effect for the following counties in Pennsylvania from midnight until 1 p.m. Tuesday:
Allegheny, Beaver, Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland.
The advisory is also in effect for the following counties in West Virginia:
Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, Monongalia, Ohio and Preston.
A total of 2-4 inches is expected during that timeframe, with the most intense snow expected late Monday night into Tuesday morning.
Temperatures are expected to continue to fall throughout the week as well with highs in the mid-teens by Wednesday.
