NORTH SIDE (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a woman was injured in an apparent drive-by shooting in Pittsburgh's Manchester neighborhood.

According to police, the incident happened just before 1 a.m. in the 1100 block of Sheffield Street.

"The bangs were so loud and I knew they weren't fireworks. There were four shots," said Letha Mills, a neighbor."I got to my bathroom and just sat on the floor and then I heard three drawn out screams and then it was really quiet."

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman inside a home suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Police said the victim had parked her car and was walking across the street when she was shot. According to the victim, the driver opened fire and continued down Sheffield Street. The victim ran to a nearby home to ask for help. A few hours later, police towed a car away from the crime scene.

The female victim was last listed in stable condition and police are asking for anyone with information to call detectives at (412)-323-7800.

"I think I'm a little afraid of the dark right now," said Mills. "I still have faith that it's a good neighborhood, but it's a little unnerving that there's been two drive-by shootings in two weeks."

On Dec. 5, police found a man and a woman shot in an alley behind North Franklin Street. They had been in their car when another car drove past and opened fire.

The female victim identified the suspect as her boyfriend, Tramaine Solomen. Police issued a warrant for his arrest, but he is still at large. Solomen, 30, is charged with two counts of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person and a gun offense.
