Man Accused Of Exposing Himself To Women In Custody
NORTH HUNTINGDON (KDKA) – North Huntingdon Police say a man accused of exposing himself to women on two separate occasions is now in custody.
The suspect has been identified as Harold Thacker of West Virginia.
Authorities say he turned himself into Irwin Police on Friday and is now awaiting arraignment.
Police say the incidents happened on Feb. 23 at a Walmart along Route 30 and on March 11 at the Dollar General, also on Route 30.
The first time, police say the man exposed himself to a female in one of the aisles of the store. The second time, they say he exposed himself to a woman in the parking lot of the store.
"He's entered into two establishments in the North Huntington Township area, dropped his pants and exposed himself to women," said Det. Sgt. Jeffery Bouldin, of North Huntingdon Police. "One time was in the store, the other time was in the store's parking lot after he exited the store."
The first incident, on Feb. 23, surveillance video shows the suspect slowly moving toward a woman shopping.
"He actually definitely was stocking the one girl," said Det. Sgt. Bouldin. "The victim had identified him as being in the store, then when she actually left the store he was out there and exposed himself as she was getting into the vehicle."
The same video shows as he entered the Walmart, he had two others with him.
"The one store, the video has shown us a possibly silver to a gray pickup truck. In that video, there's also a female and younger male with him," Det. Sgt. Bouldin said.
"Obviously, this is a sex offense," said Det. Sgt. Bouldin. "What other sex offenses is he capable of conducting."
Anyone with information is asked to call North Huntingdon Township Police at 724-863-8800.
