NORTH BRADDOCK, Pa. (KDKA) – A missing teenager with Down syndrome has been found in Rankin.
The North Braddock Police were searching for 14-year-old Zy-Kia Zearnon-Settles, of North Braddock, after she went missing Friday.
Her mother, Bobby Jo Horne, hadn't seen her daughter since she left for school in the Woodland Hills District on Friday morning.
Rankin Police found Zearnon-Settles at the Hawkins Village Apartment Complex in Rankin. She was then taken to the North Braddock Police station and reunited with her mother.
According to police, Horne said while Zearnon-Settles was missing, she received threatening text messages from her daughter's girlfriend saying that her daughter was dead.
Police are considering what charges may be pressed against the girlfriend who sent the threatening texts.
